School of Social Sciences

       The School of Social Sciences was established with objective to pay special attention to improvement of social and economic conditions through education and developmental activities. The School of Social Sciences pioneers in high quality research and community focused academic teaching. The School of Social Sciences currently houses two departments i) Department of Social Work and ii) Department of Public Administration and Policy Studies.

       Through its academic departments, the school offers MSW, MA. PA & PS, and PhD Programmes. The Department of Social Work under School of Social Sciences organizes community focused development and educational activities as part of its curriculum. From 2016 to 2022, the school mobilized over 40 Lakh rupees in extramural funding from Indian Council for Social Science Research (ICSSR). The Departments under the school has yielded more than 100 publications in the last five years. Currently 39 candidates are enrolled in PhD programmes under two departments of the school. The School has an excellent track record in placement and student’s progression with more than 60 candidates qualifying in competitive examinations during 2016-2022. <
