Brief Profile
Dr Hense completed a PhD from Queensland University of Technology, Australia, and two master's programs in hospital management and public health from India and Australia, respectively. While doing a Master of Public Health, he completed two international internships with the ThaiHealth Promotion Foundation in Bangkok and World Vision Foundation in Quezon City, Metro Manila. He specializes in hospital management and public health and is interested in research in health workforce retention and motivation, utilizing qualitative methodological approach. His other areas of research interest include health and project management, hospital administration, IT in Healthcare, and migration studies of health professionals. Hense is a recipient of the prestigious Australia Endeavour Award for a PhD, offered by the Government of Australia in 2011, and was bestowed with the Trusted Mentor award by the Office of the Australian High Commission in New Delhi.
