Brief Profile
I am a practicing geologist interested in exploring terrains of geological interest for economic mineral deposits. I use the rock archive to locate the ore bodies and to understand their genesis and evolution through time. Delineating the geometry of surfacial and subsurfacial orebodies and representing them in 2D and 3D structural and geological maps is part of my work. My projects are predominantly field based that employs geological, geophysical, geochemical, remote-sensing and GIS techniques to generate genetic and exploratory models of ore bodies. Furthermore, I offer consultancy services in mining, disaster management and mineral/groundwater exploration. Occasionally, my research also focuses on the study of (1) magmas, continental growth and tectonics through time; (2) interaction between tectonics, climate and erosion.
