Dr. G. Palanirajan holds the Degrees M.A. (Tamil). M.A. (Linguistics) and Ph.D. (Linguistics). He has 20 years of teaching and research experience in various organizations. He is working as an Assistant Professor in School of Languages and Comparative Literature, Department of Linguistics,Central University of Kerala, Kasaragod, Kerala from 2013 onwards. He was as an Associate in Department of Language Technology - Corpus Development Project at Central Institute of Classical Tamil, Chepauk, Chennai, before joining CUK. He has Worked in Linguistic Data consortium for Indian Languages (LDC-IL) Project, Lexical build and validation Project  at Central Institute of Indian Languages, Manasagangotri, Mysore, Project Associate Resource Centre for Indian Languages Technology Solution - Tamil (RCILTS) at Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Anna University, Chennai.
His main areas of specializations are Descriptive linguistics, Historical linguistics, Computational linguistics and Computational lexicography. He is also expertise in Language Technology Tools, Web Tools for Language and Linguistics, Online Dictionary, Mobile Apps for Language and Linguistics, and Corpus Development.
He has presented a papers in 50 international and National conferences held in various parts of India. He has been acted as a resource person for more than 100 workshops, Conferences and Seminars programmes held at many universities and institutions. He has published four Books in the area of Linguistics and Lexicography.
