Brief Profile
Dr. M.Bhagiyalakshmi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Central University of Kerala. She obtained Ph. D in Chemistry in the area of mesoporous materials for catalytic application from Anna University, Chennai. She has published more than 40 papers with over 1700 citations in the research area on materials for catalytic applications, Carbon dioxide capture utilization and sequestration (CCUS), and electrode materials for energy and energy storage (cathodes, anodes, supercapacitors). She is currently working on MXene nanocomposite-based electrode materials for HER, electrochemical CO2 reduction reactions, proton exchange membrane fuel cell, supercapacitor applications, and photoelectrochemical water splitting reactions. Her research focuses on developing novel materials for electrocatalysis towards CCUS and energy storage to unlock the challenges for the practical application of MXene based material at a large scale.
