Brief Profile

KIZHAKEKUNNEL AUGUSTHY   GERMINA
I have completed my schooling, graduation, and Post-graduation in Kerala,  M. Phil from St. Joseph’s College, Trichy, and Ph. D from M. S. University Tirunelveli in 1996.  Joined as Assistant Professor in MMASC, Mananthavady affiliated to Kannur University, Kannur. For a year served as Associate Professor at the University of Botswana, Botswana. Presently,  working as Head & Associate Professor at Department of Mathematics, Central University of Kerala. 
Research Area: Discrete Mathematics- Graphs, signed Graphs, and Hypergraphs theory. Published 175  research articles in refereed journals of which 82 of the publications are in Scopus/ESCI/SCI Journals. 18 Ph. Ds and 8 M. Phils have been awarded under my supervision. At present 4 Research Scholars are doing research under my supervision. Published one Book and two chapters in Scopus indexed Book, Handbook of Research on Advanced Applications of Graph Theory in Modern Society, published by IGI Global. Adjudication for 47 Ph.D. thesis of various Universities in India. Received international, Bharath Shiksha Ratan Award,  for the dedication to teaching and research in Mathematics, conferred by Global Society for Health and Educational Growth in 2011. Received the Outstanding Woman Educator and Scholar Award for the astounding teaching and scholarly activities in the field of Mathematics conferred by National Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development in 2017 and received Award for Excellence in Prominent Educationalist of Asia, conferred by Achieves Association for Health and Educational Growth New Delhi in2019. Awarded the MATRICS Project from DST-SERB, Govt. of India, New Delhi.  Reviewed more than 312 research articles and serve as referee/reviewer for 15 journals.  Chaired a session on graph theory and delivered an invited talk at the International Conference on STATISTICS-2011 in  2011, at Concordia University, Montreal, Canada.  Gave an invited talk on    Frustration index in a signed NetWork,  at Special Session on Algebraic Combinatorics, as part of the AMS Fall Eastern Section Meeting in  2019 at Binghamton University, Binghamton, NY. USA. Life Member of   Kerala Mathematics Association (KMA), Academy of Discrete Mathematics and Application (ADMA), INDOCRYPT,  Indian National Academy of Sciences, Indian Mathematics Association (IMA), Forum for Interdisciplinary Mathematical Sciences (FIM), Canada,  and Ramanujan Mathematical Society(RMS).
