Brief Profile
Dr. P. M. Aneesh received his Ph.D. in Physics from Cochin University of Science and Technology, India (Thesis Advisor: Prof. M. K. Jayaraj) in 2011, M.Sc in Physics from Cochin University of Science and Technology, India in 2005 and B.Sc in Physics from MES KVM College Valanchery (University of Calicut, India) in 2003. After his Ph. D, he worked as post-doctoral research fellow at ENEA Research Laboratory, Portici, Italy and Indian Institute of Science Education and Research. Thiruvananthapuram (IISER-TVM), India. He was an Assistant Professor in Physics at Govt. Brennen College Thalassery, India, before joining Central University of Kerala in 2014.
Dr. Aneesh's research interests are in the areas of nanomaterials and devices, 2D materials, organic devices, and transparent conducting oxides. He has published more than 47 research articles in international journals, co-authored 4 book chapters, and has an h-index of 19 and an i10-index of 28. He has successfully supervised three Ph.D. scholars and over 50 M.Sc. dissertations, with two doctoral students currently working under his guidance. He has completed a DST-SERB project under the Early Career Research (ECR) scheme and is presently serving as Co-Principal Investigator of the DST-FIST project at the Department of Physics, Central University of Kerala.
In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, he has served as the Assistant Registrar (Estate), IQAC Coordinator, Convenor MoU Committee. He is also a Member of Academic Council, CUK and Board of Studies in Physics at CUK and MES Mampad College (Autonomous).
