Brief Profile
Dr. Manju Perumbil is a theoretical physicist presently employed as Assistant Professor of Physics in the department of Education, Central University of Kerala. Her research interests include a wide range of quantum science topics, such as quantum (atom) optics, ultracold atomic gases, quantum tunnelling of Bose-Einstein condensates, quantum sensors, quantum entanglement and microgravity physics. Her passion lies in producing theoretical advances that drive practical improvements in quantum technologies, where she works at the intersection between theory and experiment.
She graduated from University of Calicut with a Masters in Physics. She received a PhD fellowship from the Australian National University (ANU) and earned her PhD in quantum science from the ANU Department of Quantum Science. She was awarded the Chief minister's Nava Kerala Postdoctoral fellowship and worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Physics, Central University of Kerala. She has given invited lectures at numerous universities, including Stony Brook University, New York. She has also presented her work at numerous international conferences held in Australia, Malaysia, Germany, and India, and was honoured in Malaysia as the best speaker. She is the author of a book and has published numerous articles in Scopus-indexed international journals
