Dr. Deepthi K is currently working as an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Central University of Kerala (CUK), Kasaragod, Kerala. She has more than 16 years of teaching and 8 years of research experience. She received her B.Tech degree from Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), Kerala and Master's degree from VMRF Deemed University, Tamil Nadu. She has completed her Ph.D. from Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) in the area “Computational Biology & Bioinformatics using Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence”. She has received two international patents and published many works in SCI indexed journals with reputed publishers such as IEEE, Springer and Elsevier. She received Best Research Award (2020) for new science inventions, by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), Govt. of India. She is serving as the editorial board member of many international journals and works in collaboration with foreign universities. She has been shortlisted among the 15 candidates from India for the Innovative Student Projects Award- 2022 for the “Best Ph.D. Thesis” by the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE), under Govt. of India. She has cleared UGC-NET in 2015 and qualified GATE in 2011, 2012, 2015 and 2017. Her research interests include Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology and Image Processing.
