Dr. Sudisha Jogaiah borne in Benakanna Halli, Mysore District, completed his higher education B.Sc. (BBZ) and M.Sc. in Botany (Plant Pathology), M.Phil (Seed Technology), Ph.D. (Biotechnology) from University of Mysore and Post-doc (JSPS, Japan). He is the Fellow of The National Academy of Sciences (FNASc.), Allahabad, Fellow of The National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (FNAAS.), New Delhi, Fellow of The National Academy of Biological Sciences (FNABS), Chennai, Bridge Fellow, Government of Japan. Sir C.V. Raman Young Scientist State Award, Government of Karnataka, AMI - Young Agricultural Scientist Award, Prof. H.C. Dube Outstanding Young Scientist Award and Pesticide India Award. Received best research paper award in Science, Karnatak University, Dharwad for the consecutive 5 years since its inception from 2016. He was a invited visiting Professor at Yamaguchi University, Japan and Nanjing Agricultural University, China. He joined Central University of Kerala in 2022 as Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental Science. The technological quality and expertise of Dr. Jogaiah’s lab is reflected in an extensive track record of publications with over 100 peer-reviewed papers with cumulative Thomson Reuters impact factor of 549.18, citations above 6900, one national and one International patent and 11 review articles with h-index - 47. Also, completed 5 research projects, one ongoing project. Authored two books on Saponins for Springer and Enzymology for Elsevier, edited five books on Plant-microbe Interactions and their defense mechanism, contributed 45 book chapters in various book editions published by Springer, Wiley-Blackwell, CRC, and Elsevier etc. He had successfully guided 07 Ph.D. students and supervised more than 63 master students. Dr. Jogaiah has been listed among the World's top 2% of Scientists released by Stanford University, USA for the consecutive 4 years.
