He got his Master of Arts in Geography from the University of Mysore and his Master of Education from Annamalai University. He also has an M.Phil. from Madurai Kamaraj University and a Ph.D. in education from the University of Mysore. He's been teaching in B.Ed. colleges around Mysore City for 27 years. He's also passed the UGC-NET exam in both Geography and Education. He began his career as a project officer for the Tribe Child Development of Council (TCDC) in Karapura Jungle from 1990 to 1992. After that, he worked as a Geography Lecturer at Sri Kaginele Mahasamsthana Kanakaguru Peeta College of Education in Kuvempu Nagara, Mysore, from 1996 to 2003. He then joined Ramakrishna Institute of Moral and Spiritual Education (RIMSE) a unit of Sri Ramakrishna Mission, Calcutta, India in 2003 and worked as an Associate Professor there until 2019. Following that, he moved to the Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM), where he was the Principal of the Vivekananda Teacher Training and Research Centre (VTTRC) in Hosahalli, H.D. Kote Tq., Mysore District, from 2019 to 2022. During his time there, he successfully finished three projects for Future Teachers of India (FTI), which were sponsored by TITAN, Bengaluru. He's published over 12 research papers in UGC Care Group II peer-reviewed journals and has presented his research at national and international conferences. He also a resource person of MMTTC program. Currently, he's working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education at the School of Education, Central University of Kerala.
