On completion of post graduate degree in Zoology from Mahatma Gandhi University   she completed her MEd in general Education from University of Kerala and PhD in Education from Mahatma Gandhi University Kottayam. By qualifying NET in Education she worked as a Teaching Faculty at the University College of Teacher Education at Aryad , Alappuzha and Muvattupuzha  for a period of sixteen years, subsequently as the Principal of various teacher Education Centers of University of Calicut (9 years). Now she is the  faculty  in the Department of Education at Central University of Kerala . She is the author of 'Enhancement of Social Intelligence through POWER' and presently resumes the charge of IQAC coordinator of the department of Education and the NSS program officer of the Central University. She presented various papers in National and International seminars and also a resource person of various MMTTC. She is the recipient of Best Motivator Award instituted by Lions club.
