Brief Profile
Born in the Alappuzha district of Kerala. Educated in the Capt N P Pillai Memorial High School (Kattachira), St Stephens College (Kattanam), M.S. M College (Kayamkulam), and Dept. of Linguistics, University of Kerala (MA Linguistics, 1st Rank). Awarded Ph.D. in Linguistics from Dravidian University. He was an elected student member of the Academic Council, Univerity of Kerala, and the General Secretary of Dept. Union, University of Kerala. Trained as a Junior Research Fellow in the International School of Dravidian Linguistics by Professor V.I. Subramoniam. Commissioned as an Associate NCC Officer by the Officer's Training Academy, Ministry of Defence, Gov of India. The first book, "Language, Labor and Emancipation," in Malayalam, received Kerala State Sahithya Academy Award in 2009. Now the book is in the 2nd edition. Awarded Suseela P Upadhya National award in 2017 for the young linguist in India. Comparative Dravidian linguistics, the historiography of linguistics, linguistic typology, contact linguistics, and academic writing are the specialized area of research and teaching. Offering professional workshops in academic writing and basic linguistics. Publications are in the professional journals of linguistics, and book chapters are from Oxford University Press, Rutledge, and John Benjamin's and writes in Malayalam. Member of the translation advisory board of TATA Consultancy, the Oxford University Dictionary project reviewer, and the expert reviewer of professional journals worldwide.
