•	Awarded Gold Medal For securing First Rank in M.A.Linguistics, Annamalai University. 
• Serving as Mentor Professor, Bharathiyar University (From 2021 for three years)
•  Under Visiting professorship , Tamil university (2020-21) submitted a Research Report on the Conceptualization of Grammar by Tolkappiyar.
•	Served as Reader cum Research Officer in the Central Institute of Indian Languages, Mysore from 2007 -2019 (Group A Officer in the Central Civil Service Cadre, Govt. of India). Co-ordinated many academic programs in the areas of Language Technology, Language Documentation, Education Technology in collaboration with most of the universities and technological Institutions in India.
 •Served as a Director in-charge in Pondicherry Institute of Linguistics and Culture (PILC) for four years and initiated many innovative programs.
-.Published seven books in English through International publishers like Springer, and four books in Tamil.
•	As the Head of Educational Technology, brought out more than 200 visual episodes on Tamil language, literature, history, culture etc. 
-•   Sixteen Ph.Ds were awarded through my guidance 
•	Served as a visiting fellow in the University of Michigan from 2009-2010.
•	Co-ordiantor and Resource person for Mahatma Gandhi Institute, Mauritius for developing ‘Language Resource Centre’ for Indian Languages through MHRD, Govt. of India. 
•	Co-ordinator for ‘Trilingual Srilanka’ program for training teachers and administrators in Tamil and English. 
•	Resource person for developing corpus and using technology for Singapore and Malaysians Tamil teachers.
Contribution at the National Level: 
•	As the Co-ordinator of the scheme for Protection and Preservation of Endangered Languages, I have co-ordinated with many Universities and Institutes to train scholars in Documenting Endangered Languages.
•	Brought out a handbook for cultural documentation which is used by all universities.
•	Co-ordinated with CDAC, IITs’ and Universities in evolving strategies for language technology in Indian languages through Linguistic Data consortium for Indian Languages (LDC-IL) project of MHRD, Govt. of India.
•	My book on Tamil literary criticism (Tamil) was selected by the Govt. of the Tamilnadu as the best book of the year 2005 and won the first prize.      
•	The Book on Language and Power (Tamil) was selected as the best book of the year 2005 by Tamilnadu progressive writers association. 
•	The Institute for Tamil educational research and development, Chennai has conferred the title “Moliyiyal Semmal” for my contribution to the development of computational Tamil at national level. 
•	The Bhasha Institute, NGO, Wardha, Maharashtra has given a certificate of appreciation for academic contribution to the Peoples’ Linguistic Survey of India.
