Brief Profile
Dr. Anusree Sreenivasan is currently working as Assistant Professor at the Department of Linguistics, Central University of Kerala. Before joining the Central University of Kerala in 2022 she worked as an Assistant Professor for over five years (2017-2022) at the Department of Linguistics and Contrastive Study of Tribal Languages Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak. Prior to that she worked as an Assistant Professor (on contract) at the Department of Linguistics in the Central University of Karnataka, Kalburagi (Karnataka).
She received her PhD in Linguistics from The English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad. She has her M A in Linguistics from University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram. She has done her B.A in English Language and Literature at Prajyoti Niketan College, Pudukad, Thrissur.
Her research interests are in the areas of phonetics and phonology, historical linguistics, sociolinguistics and language teaching methods.
She has published a few research articles and has authored a book titled The Tonal Phonology of Thadou.
