Brief Profile
Dr. Anil Kumar P is currently Associate Professor in the Department of International Relations, Capital Centre (Thiruvananthapuram) of the Central University of Kerala, Kasaragodu. He received his M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Political Science, University of Kerala. His areas of interest are U.S., China, and South Asian security. He is a Research Supervisor in Political Science/ International Relations under the University of Kerala. He is also interested in state politics and psephological studies. In 2012 he selected from India for the Study of United States Institute for Scholars Programme of the US State Department. He completed the programme from University of Florida USA during June-July 2012 and visited Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Chicago University etc. Dr. Anil is the recipient of the TV Paul Award in 2011 for best Ph.D. thesis in International Relations/Political Science, and was a research affiliate in the Institute of Chinese Studies in the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies, New Delhi. He was also a supervisor of the election studies conducted by CNN-IBN, The Hindu, and the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies. He is also trained in Survey Research through CSDS, New Delhi. His comments on U.S.-India-China relations have appeared in Asianet News Channel, Manorma News Channel News18, Doordarshan and All India Radio. He have number of Research articles to his credit in the Peer Reviewed Journals and seminar presentations in International Conferences. He is also a member of the Indo-Pacific Circle (https://www.ipcircle.org/).

1.The only individual selected from India for the Study of United States Institute for Scholars Program on US Foreign Policy, conducted by the US State Department from June 10 to July 21, 2012, at the Department of Political Science, University of Florida, United States. I successfully completed the program alongside 17 other participants from various countries worldwide at the University of Florida.
2. I obtained a research affiliation with the Institute of Chinese Studies (ICS) at the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies, New Delhi, for a two-month period from August 17, 2005, to October 17, 2005, in support of my PhD program. ICS stands as one of India's most esteemed institutions, making significant contributions to the field of Foreign Policy. It boasts numerous eminent Indian scholars focusing on Chinese Studies, as well as distinguished Indian diplomats, among its fellows.
