Brief Profile
Dr. M. Nagarajan received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Environmental Biotechnology from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, India. Following his doctoral studies, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad, India, and later at the Laboratoire de Biologie Moléculaire de la Cellule, École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, France. Before joining the Central University of Kerala in 2012, he served as an Assistant Professor at the Sri Paramakalyani Centre for Environmental Sciences, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Alwarkurichi, Tamil Nadu. He serves on the editorial boards of Scientific Reports, PLOS ONE, Frontiers in Ecology and Evolution, and Frontiers in Genetics, and has published over 40 research articles in leading international journals, including PLOS Genetics and Molecular Ecology. His current research focuses on population genetics, conservation genetics, functional genomics, and microbiome studies of wild and domestic animals.
