Translation Business Award received by the Department of Linguistics, Central University of Kerala  

The Department of Linguistics, Central University of Kerala has been awarded the prestigious Samvad 2024 Award by the Confederation of Interpreting, Translation and Localization Businesses (CITLoB's) for the best Academic Institution Award by considering the business-friendly course content in teaching. This award is presented by Mr. Amitabh Nag, Chief Executive Officer, BHASHINI on September 30, 2024 in the annual conference at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. Dr G Palanirajan, Assistant Professor, Department of Linguistics received the award in New Delhi. This award is a recognition of the Department of Linguistics, Central University of Kerala, for training students in India's emerging translation and localization industry. Many students from the department get placements across companies as translators, content managers, language experts etc. The Department of Linguistics regularly updates the courses of the M.A. Linguistics and Language Technology program based on the industrial demands of language and translation service providers.
