The department conducted Freshers’ welcome programme on 5th September 2024. The second year students and PhD scholars conducted a glass-breaking session for the first year students to encourage them and boost their confidence. Teacher’s day was celebrated during the programme with cake cutting, games, funny tasks and cultural activities for both freshers and teachers.

The department of linguistics welcomes our freshers with a "light, camera and action". Our fresher's party, "Thingal muthal velli vare" on 5th September, starts from 10 am, at 218; second year classroom, Linguistics.
