The 1st batch of the three month Intensive Course in Malayalam which aims to teach spoken Malayalam to non Malayalam speakers in Central University of Kerala (CUK) which was inaugurated by Prof. Ajith Kumar N, Department of Malayalam, CUK on 18th January 2023 at 3.30pm in the Language Technology Lab, Department of Linguistics was concluded today, that is 12th April 2023 at 4.30pm. The end of this course was marked by a valedictory programme in the Department of Linguistics, Brahmaputra block, Central University of Kerala. Prof. L. Ramamoorthy, Head, Department of Linguistics welcomed the gathering. Prof. D. Swamikannan who is the Head, Department of Economics and the Dean, School of Economics graced the occasion as the chief guest of the programme and felicitated the course instructor, Mrs. Anurakhi K.P, research scholar, Department of Linguistics. The programme was attended by some of the teachers who had registered for the course as well as by teaching and non teaching staffs of the department. Positive feedbacks and suggestions on the course and the instructor were received and the participants shared their experiences during the course.

Approximately 20 teachers from various departments had registered for the course and attended regular classes. The students from the host department were also allowed to attend the classes.
